Topkapı Palace Museum

It is a half day tour to the heart of Ottoman Empire.

The tour begins with Topkapi Palace visit which has been home to the Ottoman dynasty for many years. You will able to see the imperial collections of the Ottoman Empire and will be interesting to learn how the sultans lived their life. The palace, with intricate Iznik tilework and opulent architecture contains myriad buildings and courtyards, including treasury, harem, armory, imperial halls, and royal chambers.

After 5 min. walking, you will visit the largest Byzantine cistern in Istanbul. It was constructed using 336 columns which were salvaged from ruined temples and feature fine carved capitals. Its symmetry and conception are quite breathtaking. It was built in the 6th century during the reign of Byzantine Emperor I. Justinian and today keeping little water, for public access inside.
